Testimonial: I used to purchase a cheap pair of binoculars. Then one day I had the opportunity to purchase a pair of quality binoculars at a discount price, they were a pair of Nikon compact binoculars, and I just could not believe the difference they made! It was like the difference between night and day. I will not ever go back to a cheap pair of binoculars again, period!

Spotting Scopes - Spotting scopes are used to bring distant objects closer and offer more of a stable foundation than binoculars but with the higher magnification of a telescope. The magnification of a spotting scope is typically on the order of 20X to 60X. A spotting scope is also designed specifically to have a wide field of view which makes it easy to spot objects in the visual field, and these scopes are also designed to stand up to rugged use in the great outdoors. Spotting scopes are ideally suited for bird watching, whale watching, nature shots, surveillance, hunting, and viewing landscape, wildlife, ships and other distant objects. Spotting scopes are also used for scoring targets on rifle, pistol and archery ranges and they can also be used for some astronomy. Lastly spotting scopes are also used to take long distance pictures with a variety of cameras. Read more about Spotting Scopes by clicking on the image, the link above, or by clicking here. Range-finders |
Rangefinders- Rangefinders are different from binoculars in that they are used to determine distance, speed, slope, and angle of a distant opaque object. A rangefinder may make use of a technology such as sonar or lasers, or may use basic mathematics to determine the distance based on objects in the field of view. You will find them used in a variety of applications including hunting, bow-hunting, industrial, military, and being used on golf courses. Distance is displayed in the magnified monocular and gives the hunter or golfer with a true view of the field or course. Telescopes - Telescopes are used for viewing distant objects with more power than binoculars or a spotting scope. They are usually larger than a spotting scope and are not as portable as they usually require a tripod to support their heavier weight and to eliminate hand shake due to their higher power capabilities. GPS Navigation -You may need a GPS Navigation unit to find the location to use your new binoculars, rangefinder, spotting scope, or telescope.
